Dear Senator McCaskill,
Thank you so much for your reply. I share the same sentiments as Sean Stone and salute his courage. He is a child of God, he seeks the truth and he will get it because the silent majority will slowly muster the courage to follow his footsteps to stop the bombing of Tehran. Stone on O’Reilly show also predicted that an Occupy Tehran movement akin to Occupy Wall Street is on its way, and he suggested that President Jimmy Carter be enlisted to help solve the problems in Middle East. I hope Hollywood and your good self would also support this cause for a better and brighter world.
America must not rush into any military decision like what they had done in Iraq because regret will be too late. George Bush Jr was tricked by the ‘Jewish Hawks’ who had told him that Iraq got Weapons of Mass Destruction and he went in without thinking of the consequences. The end result as we all had witnessed was a total disaster and especially for America!! The experience in Iraq had shown to the Americans that they need to have a rational mind. Please read what Robert Bird got to say on the preemptive strike on Iraq and I have taken the end paragraphs for your reading, http://www.worldharmonyday.com/news_us-iraq_3robert.php
“As if that were not bad enough, members of Congress are reluctant to ask questions which are begging to be asked. How long will we occupy Iraq? We have already heard disputes on the numbers of troops, which will be needed to retain order. What is the truth? How costly will the occupation and rebuilding be? No one has given a straight answer. How will we afford this long-term massive commitment, fight terrorism at home, address a serious crisis in domestic healthcare, afford behemoth military spending and give away billions in tax cuts amidst a deficit, which has climbed to over $340 billion for this year alone? If the President’s tax cut passes it will be $400 billion. We cower in the shadows while false statements proliferate. We accept soft answers and shaky explanations because to demand the truth is hard, or unpopular, or may be politically costly.
But, I contend that, through it all, the people know.
The American people unfortunately are used to political shading, spin, and the usual chicanery they hear from public officials. They patiently tolerate it up to a point. But there is a line. It may seem to be drawn in invisible ink for a time, but eventually it will appear in dark colors, tinged with anger.
When it comes to shedding American blood – – when it comes to wrecking havoc on civilians, on innocent men, women, and children, callous dissembling is not acceptable. Nothing is worth that kind of lie – – not oil, not revenge, not re-election, not somebody’s grand pipedream of a democratic domino theory.
And mark my words, the calculated intimidation, which we see so often of late by the “powers that be” will only keep the loyal opposition quiet for just so long.
Because eventually, like it always does, the truth will emerge. And when it does, this house of cards, built of deceit, will fall.”
How high the cost America got to pay but on the other hand Israel came out without a scratch because they achieved their goal to get others to do their dirty work to bomb Iraq and one more less threat for them. Now they want history to repeat again because this time Iran is the threat. If you look at the Iraq war it looked kind of silly for America because the rest of the world are doing so well financially while you were and still are trying to keep the world safe and meanwhile America is going downhill besides so many deaths of young soldiers. Ask yourself IS IT WORTH IT? If America is to go down it should go down on its own term but not again to let others pull America down due to their insecurity and fear.
In an interview on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS, this was what Mr Brzezinski said, “We don’t need to go to war and we have to make that very clear to our Israeli friends. We’re not going to go to war. They’re not going to go to war by flying over our airspace over Iraq. We’re not going to support them. If they do it, they will be on their own. The consequences will be theirs, because the price we’ll all pay if they start a massive war, which the Iranians interpret as being done with our connivance, will be disastrous for us in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in the terms of oil, stability in the Middle East more generally.”
The Israelis and Palestinians is the root cause to this world problem, thus the world would need to fix this problem first before the rest can be resolved. As long as America and the world delay the act of helping the Palestinian people to have a homeland, the world will not have peace, harmony and unity. Senator Klobuchar said, “Compelling Iran to abandon its support for terrorism, promote the rights of its citizens, and terminate its nuclear enrichment program is critical to meeting the goal of long-term stability in the Middle East and around the world.” I don’t think this is the way the world sees it because as long as the Palestinian people still do not have a homeland, the prospects of long term stability in Middle East and around the world will remain bleak.

Dear Ms Sun Wah,
Thank you for contacting me regarding United States policy toward Iran. I appreciate hearing from you and welcome the opportunity to respond.
As you know, Iran continues to pursue its nuclear ambitions in defiance of the international community and has brazenly called for Israel’s destruction. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also continues to further isolate his country through support of terrorist groups and ongoing violations of the Iranian people’s human rights.
The United States and the international community are working to stop Iran’s support of terrorism, but much more can be done. That is why I cosponsored the Iran Refined Petroleum Sanctions Act (S. 908), legislation to restrict the Iranian regime’s ability to develop and profit from international sales of its petroleum resources. Key parts of S. 908 were included in the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act, which I also supported and was signed into law in 2010. I believe that targeted implementation of this law, and others related to sanctions on the Iranian government, will bring about change in the unacceptable behavior of Iranian leaders or otherwise limiting the resources they have to harm their own citizens. You may be interested to know that I have also supported bipartisan legislation to ensure that the Department of Defense is not doing business with contractors who are in violation of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996.
In addition to economic sanctions, I also believe that specific action must be taken to address the Iranian government’s widespread human rights abuses. Since the last United Nations independent human rights monitor left Iran in 2002, Iranian government forces have repeatedly responded to popular protests with violence, arrests, and other severe human rights violations. In addition to the sanctions structure enacted last year, I supported the re-establishment of a United Nations envoy for human rights in Iran, so that the international community can have an additional tool in monitoring and holding the Iranian regime accountable. I am pleased to report that the UN recently re-established this important position. The envoy’s portfolio includes concerns about the significant religious persecution of non-Muslims — including Christians and Baha’i — in Iran.
Much work remains in our efforts to deter the Iranian government from continuing to abuse its people and develop nuclear technologies. Congress must continue to work with the Administration to implement enacted economic sanctions, and I will remain steadfast in my efforts to protect the human rights of the Iranian people. Ahmadinejad and his government must understand that the United States will continue to isolate them if their behavior does not change.
Again, thank you for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of further assistance to you on this or any other issue.
Sincerely,
Claire McCaskill

Dear Ms Claire McCaskill,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and caring reply. May I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. With your support and that of your fellow senators, may the New Year bring great hope and joy to the Palestinian people and the realization of their wish of a homeland in Palestine.
Although I’m an ordinary person, I still have a great dream developed in my childhood, which became my vision that I need to translate into a mission. I dreamt of a world united as one regardless of race, language, culture or religion. What sparked such a big dream in a young child’s mind? My teacher told me about the Palestinians’ struggle to have a homeland, the killing of Catholics and Protestants in Ireland and the constant wars around the world, all of which troubled me immensely. How could religious leaders or even political leaders unite the world, when they were killing one another? If they said that they love God, then why were they destroying life without conscience? Religious teachings are supposed to help us to value life, then why were people killing one another due over their differences? Wasn’t it the political leaders’ job to build a safe world for humanity, then why should they go to war when there was disagreement?
Even with how bleak the world seems, we must not be discouraged about life. Instead, we must have the courage to dream of a better world, because from dreams we can meet new challenges, which give us hope. Many of the world’s scientists, inventors and successful entrepreneurs were dreamers. As Henry David Thoreau said, “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost, that is where they should be. Now put the foundation under them!” For a start, my foundation is building the spirit of World Harmony Day, which will encourage the citizens of the world to unite as people seeking to develop a higher level ‘Consciousness’, and I pray, with time, the whole planet will change for the better.
I didn’t just dream that one day there is going to be a Palestine, but more importantly, since I was 10 years old, I really believed there was going to be a Palestinian State and I hoped to see the people of the world rise up and call for a Palestine State.
My teacher said that belief is power in itself. Add will to the power of belief, and it will happen. My job, my belief and my passion is to create the awareness that will teach the world’s children the beauty of all religions and to appreciate different cultures. We must begin this work in Israel and Palestine if they are both sincere in wanting PEACE.
You said that you have been frustrated with actions taken by Palestinian leaders. As for me, I have been frustrated by the Israeli government’s continuously changing the goal posts. The Israelis must honor the Oslo peace Agreement signed in 1993 by Yitshak Rabin. They have no right to change it whenever they feel like it. A contract is a contract under international law, but it seems the Israeli government has its own set of laws.
I would like to share with you the comment below of a Palestinian taken from Charlie Rose website;
- mangos 09/30/2011 05:40 PM Report
here’s what negotiating means to me as a Palestinian while continuing settlement activity. I am negotiating with you on dividing this apple pie while I am eating it, hence the longer the negotiations last the less you’ll ever get if anything. Got it stupid?
From 100% of the land, the United Nations took 55% for the Jews and 45% for the Palestinians. From 1948 to 1993, the Israelis took another 23% of the land and left 22% for the Palestinians. Finally in 1993, the Palestinians gave the green light to accept the 22% by signing the Peace Agreement with Yitshak Rabin. Unfortunately the Israelis did not accept it, and the resulting assassination of Rabin would confirm that. But that is no excuse for not concluding the deal that was recognised by the whole world.
On 15 Dec 2011 in the Singapore local paper by New York Times there was an article written by a Palestinian journalist Daoud Kuttab who was born and lives in Jerusalem said, “Mr. Newt Gingrich attended the1993 Oslo Peace Agreement ceremony and reportedly shook hands with Mr. Arafat. Now, as a Republican candidate for president, he is claiming that the Palestinian people were “invented” because there was never a Palestinian state. The 107 states that recognised Palestine as a full member of Unesco would seriously disagree with this logic.” Mr. Kuttab said, “Mr.Gingrich never does say what should happen to this “invented” people if he is elected president.” http://dearmmlee.wordpress.com/category/petition-palestine/palestinian-identity/
What gives Mr. Gingrich or for that matter, any other politician, to play with the life and destiny of the Palestinian people? Are they, as people, of less value than the Jews?

Dear Ms Sun Wah,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I appreciate hearing from you, and I welcome the opportunity to respond.
The path to a peaceful resolution of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians has been incredibly difficult. Israelis and Palestinians alike wish for a future in which two states can live side-by-side in peace. This goal, which is also in the best interest of the United States, can only be achieved through direct negotiations between the two parties.
I have been frustrated with actions taken by Palestinian leaders. In September, President Abbas requested that the United Nations admit a Palestinian state, but did so without a negotiated agreement with Israel on the borders of such a state. In addition, earlier this year, the Palestinian Authority agreed to bring Hamas, a terrorist organization that refuses to recognize the state of Israel and continues to conduct terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens, into the Palestinian government. These actions only push the two parties further from the negotiating table at a time when face-to-face talks are urgently needed.
I support and will continue to advocate for a peaceful two-state solution that provides for a strong, secure Jewish state of Israel and a new independent, peaceful Palestine free from extremist influences and terrorism.
I am confident that such a solution will create an opportunity for lasting peace among the Israeli and Palestinian people, as well as the broader Middle East.
Again, thank you for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of further assistance to you on this or any other issue.

Dear Senator Claire McCaskill,
I hope to get your support for this Petition for a Palestinian State.
http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/call-for-support-for-a-palestinian-state.html#sign
The success of the “Arab Spring” tells us that a “Global Spring” is possible to achieve, too. And it can begin with nothing more than a click of your mouse supporting our petition. The Palestinian people need our support now more than ever, for a “Global Spring” to finally achieve a homeland for their people. To build a better world, everyone must care. We must have the strong faith that we can build a better world for all.
On behalf of the Palestinian people, I thank you all very much for your support. Please spread the word.
Love, light, peace, harmony and unity,
Sunflower Chong
