Letter to Senator Amy Klobuchar

1st March 2012

Dear Senator Klobuchar,

Thank you so much for your reply. I share the same sentiments as Sean Stone and salute his courage. He is a child of God, he seeks the truth and he will get it because the silent majority will slowly muster the courage to follow his footsteps to stop the bombing of Tehran. Stone on O’Reilly show also predicted that an Occupy Tehran movement akin to Occupy Wall Street is on its way, and he suggested that President Jimmy Carter be enlisted to help solve the problems in Middle East. I hope Hollywood and your good self would also support this cause for a better and brighter world.

Senator Udall said, “Starting in 2002, the Iranian government announced their intent to construct two underground heavy-water nuclear facilities.  This action worried many because heavy-water nuclear facilities can be used to enrich weapons grade uranium for the production of nuclear weapons.” Have you see this full documentary – The BBC Film That Exposed Israel’s Secret Illegal Nuclear Weapons? http://www.youtu.be/WMOtvSGJVvc

Iran signed the NPT (Nuclear nonProliferation Treaty), Iran joined the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), allows IAEA inspectors to their facilities, Iran did not Invade Anyone, Iran doesn’t have any nukes.

While

Israel refused to sign the NPT, Israel refused to join the IAEA, refused to allow IAEA inspectors to their Secret Illegal Nuclear Facilities, Israel invaded all of their neighbors, openly commits genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians & Israel has hundreds of Nukes.

We MUST do our very best to stop Netanyahu government to bomb Iran because there is too much to risk in the Middle East if he does so. The stability of the entire region would be subject to further threat, and I don’t think the US nor Israel nor any of the other Middle Eastern country would want that. Imagine the phenomenal spike we would see in oil prices if that were to happen!

Please Visit INFOWARS.COM for the truth about what’s really going on….Do it for the United States, Do it for the world. http://dearmmlee.wordpress.com/category/bibi-netanyahu/israel/911-israel-mossad-did-it/

The American people unfortunately are used to political shading, spin, and the usual chicanery they hear from public officials. They patiently tolerate it up to a point. But there is a line. It may seem to be drawn in invisible ink for a time, but eventually it will appear in dark colors, tinged with anger.

When it comes to shedding American blood – – when it comes to wrecking havoc on civilians, on innocent men, women, and children, callous dissembling is not acceptable. Nothing is worth that kind of lie – – not oil, not revenge, not re-election, not somebody’s grand pipedream of a democratic domino theory.

And mark my words, the calculated intimidation, which we see so often of late by the “powers that be” will only keep the loyal opposition quiet for just so long.

Because eventually, like it always does, the truth will emerge. And when it does, this house of cards, built of deceit, will fall.”

How high the cost America got to pay but on the other hand Israel came out without a scratch because they achieved their goal to get others to do their dirty work to bomb Iraq and one more less threat for them. Now they want history to repeat again because this time Iran is the threat. If you look at the Iraq war it looked kind of silly for America because the rest of the world are doing so well financially while you were and still are trying to keep the world safe and meanwhile America is going downhill besides so many deaths of young soldiers. Ask yourself IS IT WORTH IT? If America is to go down it should go down on its own term but not again to let others pull America down due to their insecurity and fear.

The Israelis and Palestinians is the root cause to this world problem, thus the world would need to fix this problem first before the rest can be resolved. As long as America and the world delay the act of helping the Palestinian people to have a homeland,  the world will not have peace, harmony and unity. You said, “Compelling Iran to abandon its support for terrorism, promote the rights of its citizens, and terminate its nuclear enrichment program is critical to meeting the goal of long-term stability in the Middle East and around the world.” I don’t think this is the way the world sees it because as long as the Palestinian people still do not have a homeland,  the prospects of  long term stability in Middle East and around the world will remain bleak.

Love, light, peace, harmony and unity,

Sunflower Chong

Dear Ms. Sun Wah:

I believe Iran’s present course of action represents a threat to the United States, our allies in the Middle East, and the international community.  Iran has defied repeated demands from the United Nations Security Council to stop enriching nuclear fuel and to fully disclose all information regarding its nuclear program.  Compelling Iran to abandon its support for terrorism, promote the rights of its citizens, and terminate its nuclear enrichment program is critical to meeting the goal of long-term stability in the Middle East and around the world.

I have long supported using all diplomatic, economic, and political tools available to press Iran to cooperate with the international community.  That is why I voted to support H.R. 2194, the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010, which was signed into law on July 1, 2010.  This law expands sanctions against Iranian financial institutions as well as the crucial imports of gasoline, related fuels, and other services that facilitate the production of gasoline.  I am also a cosponsor of S. 1048, the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Sanctions Consolidation Act of 2011.  This bill would tighten restrictions on Iran by sanctioning affiliates of the Revolutionary Guard, foreign firms that participate in energy-related joint ventures with Iran, and any providers or purchasers of militarily useful equipment to or from Iran.   Unlike H.R. 1905, a bill in the House of Representatives, S. 1048 does not prohibit diplomatic communication between U.S. and Iranian officials.  S.1048 also contains provisions aimed at supporting the efforts of Iranian human rights activists.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me.  One of the most important parts of my job is listening to what the people of Minnesota have to say to me.  I am here in our nation’s capital to do the public’s business and to serve the people of our state.  I hope you will contact me again about matters of concern to you.

Sincerely,

Amy Klobuchar

Dear Ms Klobucher,

Thank you for your short reply.  Not only are the Israelis not honoring their word, it now seems the Palestinians are an “invented people”, are careless and insensitive comments like that meant to justify that the Palestinians are not entitled to a state. Are you ‘OK’ with it?

Please read this article about Palestinians Identity written by Daoud Kuttab a Palestinian journalist who was born and lives in Jerusalem after Newt Gingrich said that the Palestinians are historically “an invented people” and that the Palestinian leadership has always sought to destroy Israel. Perhaps you will find it enlightening.

Dear Senator Amy Klobuchar,

May I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. With your support and that of your fellow senators, may the New Year bring great hope and joy to the Palestinian people and the realization of their wish of a homeland in Palestine.

You mentioned in your response to me, “Our policy should focus on working with the Israeli government to engage moderate leaders in the Palestinian community and to continue to oppose those who are only interested in violence, rather than peace and stability. Without dialogue and patience, our ultimate goal of peace throughout the region will not be realized.”

The Oslo Peace Agreement was signed in 1993and after almost 20 years “the dialogue” is still going on today! What do you want them to talk about now? What you should ask them to do is to implement the Peace Agreement right now and not wait for another 20 years. Because by then no more land will be left for the Palestinians. Let me share with you this article I wrote on the Charlie Rose site about Mr Netanyahu (edited for brevity).

  • ChongSunWah 09/29/2011 01:56 PM Report

freedomrain 09/29/2011 12:36 PM Report

I have Israeli friends, and love the Israeli people, but Mr. Netanyahu is not helping! And, he is clearly not genuinely interested in any peace! Mr. Netanyahu is fully responsible for Israelis’ lack of peace!

Mr. Netanyahu is behaving like an extremist and fundamentalist, and the Jewish people have to realize he is obstructing any opportunity for peace. More importantly, the Jewish people must not let him pull the whole country down. Israel does not belong to Mr. Netanyahu alone. He must listen to all his people’s voices and there are a lot of moderate ones who share our views that Palestinians must have a state of their own.

Let the whole world pray in unison that the deep spiritual consciousness of all the Jewish people will prevail for peace.

I strongly believe that peace can be a reality in Israel and Palestine and it is not just in the hands of the arrogant and stubborn. The Jewish people can RISE UP like the ARAB SPRING and force their government to make peace with the Palestinians.

Below is my letter to President Obama when he became the 44th President of America.

President Obama, you must do what is right by GOD.

Mr. Netanyahu said nobody can tolerate 6000 rockets shooting at Israel, and, similarly no country can accept any kind of occupation or blockade.

The whole world wanted you to be the 44th President of America and now the whole world wants you to bring FAIRNESS in the Israeli and Palestinian conflict.

This poem was send to me on World Harmony Day.

BEFORE I START THIS POEM

Before I start this poem,

I’d like to ask you to join me

in a moment of silence

in honour of those who died

in the World Trade Centre

and the Pentagon

last September 11th.

I would also like to ask you

a moment of silence

for all of those who have been

harassed, imprisoned, disappeared,

tortured, raped, or killed

in retaliation for those strikes,

for the victims in both

Afghanistan and the U.S.

And if I could just add one more thing…

A full day of silence

for the tens of thousands of Palestinians

who have died at the hands of

U.S.-backed Israeli forces

over decades of occupation.

Six months of silence

for the million and-a-half Iraqi people,

mostly children, who have died of

malnourishment or starvation

as a result of an 11-year U.S. embargo

against the country.

Before I begin this poem:

two months of silence

for the Blacks under Apartheid

in South Africa,

where homeland security

made them aliens

in their own country.

Nine months of silence

for the dead in Hiroshima

and Nagasaki, where death rained

down and peeled back

every layer of concrete, steel, earth and skin

and the survivors went on as if alive.

A year of silence

for the millions of dead

in Vietnam – a people, not a war-

for those who know a thing or two

about the scent of burning fuel,

their relatives’ bones buried in it,

their babies born of it.

A year of silence

for the dead in Cambodia and Laos,

victims of a secret war … ssssshhhhh …

Say nothing … we don’t want them to learn

that they are dead.

Two months of silence

for the decades of dead

in Colombia, whose names,

like the corpses they once represented,

have piled up and slipped off

our tongues.

Before I begin this poem,

An hour of silence for El Salvador.

An afternoon of silence

for Nicaragua ..

Two days of silence

for the Guetmaltecos ..

None of whom ever knew

a moment of peace

45 seconds of silence

for the 45 dead

at Acteal, Chiapas

25 years of silence

for the hundred million Africans

who found their graves

far deeper in the ocean

than any building could

poke into the sky.

There will be no DNA testing

or dental records

to identify their remains.

And for those who were

strung and swung

from the heights of

sycamore trees

in the south, the north,

the east, and the west…

100 years of silence…

For the hundreds of millions of

indigenous peoples

from this half of right here,

Whose land and lives were stolen,

In postcard-perfect plots

like Pine Ridge,

Wounded Knee,

Sand Creek, Fallen Timbers,

or the Trail of Tears.

Names now reduced

to innocuous magnetic poetry

on the refrigerator

of our consciousness ..

So you want a moment of silence?

And we are all left speechless

Our tongues snatched from our mouths

Our eyes stapled shut

A moment of silence

And the poets have all been laid to rest

The drums disintegrating into dust

Before I begin this poem,

You want a moment of silence

You mourn now as if the world will never be the same

And the rest of us hope to hell it won’t be.

Not like it always has been

Because this is not a 9-1-1 poem

This is a 9/10 poem,

It is a 9/9 poem,

A 9/8 poem,

A 9/7 poem

This is a 1492 poem.

This is a poem about

what causes poems like this

to be written

And if this is a 9/11 poem, then

This is a September 11th poem

for Chile, 1971

This is a September 12th poem

for Steven Biko in South Africa, 1977

This is a September 13th poem

for the brothers at Attica Prison,

New York, 1971.

This is a September 14th poem

for Somalia, 1992.

This is a poem

for every date that falls

to the ground in ashes

This is a poem for the 110 stories;

that were never told

The 110 stories that history

chose not to write in textbooks

The 110 stories that CNN, BBC,

The New York Times,

and Newsweek ignored

This is a poem

for interrupting this program.

And still you want

a moment of silence

for your dead?

We could give you

lifetimes of empty:

The unmarked graves

The lost languages

The uprooted trees and histories

The dead stares on the faces

of nameless children

Before I start this poem

We could be silent forever

Or just long enough to hunger,

For the dust to bury us

And you would still ask us

For more of our silence.

If you want a moment of silence

Then stop the oil pumps

Turn off the engines and the televisions

Sink the cruise ships

Crash the stock markets

Unplug the marquee lights,

Delete the instant messages,

Derail the trains, the light rail transit

If you want a moment of silence,

put a brick through

the window of Taco Bell,

And pay the workers for wages lost

Tear down the liquor stores,

The townhouses, the White Houses,

the jailhouses, the Penthouses and

the Playboys.

If you want a moment of silence,

Then take it

On Super Bowl Sunday,

The Fourth of July

During Dayton’s 13 hour sale

Or the next time your white guilt

fills the room where my beautiful

people have gathered

You want a moment of silence

Then take it

Now,

Before this poem begins.

Here, in the echo of my voice,

In the pause between goosesteps of the second hand

In the space

between bodies in embrace,

Here is your silence.

Take it.

But take it all

Don’t cut in line.

Let your silence begin

at the beginning of crime But we,

Tonight we will keep right on singing

For our dead.

It’s like…, you know……., like………., well….. sorta like putting a bunch of aggression, a hint of justification, two cups of BS, a pinch of Crp, diced Deceit, pound of war crimes against humanity, stir in some more lies, and just like a stew, Some kind of abomination will come out of it! The stench of Netanyahu’s stew of evil thoughts has now been smelled around the world!

  • bgustin 09/29/2011 05:41 PM Report

Charlie: you are usually spot on when you interview people, but with Mr. Netanyahu, you sound like the typical newspaper “media bite” journalist that gives those of us who know and understand the conflict well, indigestion. It felt very much like you were trying repeatedly to fit a square peg into a round hole. Thankfully, Mr. Netanyahu did not lose his patience with you. If you want one totally objective source for history and background information about the Jewish-Arab conflict, read Ephraim Karsh’s excellent and well-documented work, “Palestine Betrayed”. Professor Karsh is Chairman of the Near Eastern Studies Department of King’s College in London. Your listeners would benefit from an interview with him. I have heard him before and he is quite compelling. Dr. Gustin

The thoughts of Sunflower Chong (Chong Sun Wah):

The world knows the true color of Bibi Netanyahu and I know he is not a leader for peace. There is an article in the December 17th Singapore newspaper by the Associated Press, Reuters, and it said that “Israel wakes up to Jewish ‘terrorists’. Israeli leaders slam radicals in rare move, prompted by recent attack on military base. A rash of audacious attacks on mosques, Muslim cemeteries and Israeli bases has turned the spotlight on the rising threat of Jewish extremists – and the country’s long history of failing to rein them in”.

Instead of believing the Palestinians are their greatest enemies, the Israeli government may find that their greatest enemies are at their doorstep in the guise of Jewish extremists. All these terrorists have been emboldened by the Israeli government’s hate of the Palestinians and so they have allowed them to take the law into their own hands, and now it has backfired. This is the same situation as with Pakistan’s government supporting the extremist terrorists group because they used them to fight the Indians in Kashmir. They are playing a dangerous game because without law and order it will be the end of any peace within Israel. The Israelis signed the contract but have refused to implement it and are now trying to use any excuse to opt out of the contract! If they want to be recognized as ethical and moral people, the Israelis must honor their word and the agreement and grant the Palestinians their rightful homeland. Not only are they not honoring their word, it now seems the Palestinians are an “invented people”, are careless and insensitive comments like that meant to justify that the Palestinians are not entitled to a state.

Dear Ms. Sun Wah:

Thank you for contacting me to share your concern about U.S. policy in the Middle East.  I appreciate hearing from you.

Achieving a long-term Middle East peace agreement is one of the most critical foreign policy challenges facing the international community. I believe that the United States must reinforce its commitment to leading a meaningful peace process between Israelis and Palestinians. Our policy should focus on working with the Israeli government to engage moderate leaders in the Palestinian community and to continue to oppose those who are only interested in violence, rather than peace and stability.  Without dialogue and patience, our ultimate goal of peace throughout the region will not be realized.

Dear Senator Amy Klobuchar,

I hope to get your support for this Petition for a Palestinian State.

http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/call-for-support-for-a-palestinian-state.html#sign

The success of the “Arab Spring” tells us that a “Global Spring” is possible to achieve, too. And it can begin with nothing more than a click of your mouse supporting our petition. The Palestinian people need our support now more than ever, for a “Global Spring” to finally achieve a homeland for their people. To build a better world, everyone must care. We must have the strong faith that we can build a better world for all.

On behalf of the Palestinian people, I thank you all very much for your support. Please spread the word.

Love, light, peace, harmony and unity,

Sunflower Chong
