Netanyahu’s U.S. trip reveals the damage he caused to Israel’s standing

The PM’s masks are being torn off, and the world is losing patience in the face of Israel’s policy of deception.

“The prime minister’s trip to the United States revealed Israel’s true international standing, as well as the damage Netanyahu has repeatedly caused it. Shortly before his White House meeting, Netanyahu met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, and a rancorous dispute erupted over the Israel Defense Forces strikes on UNRWA schools in Gaza this summer that killed Palestinians who had sought shelter there. It’s impossible to keep having wars that sow such immense death and destruction every few years, Ban told Netanyahu. An Israeli official who was present at the meeting described it as extremely tense.

One after the other, the masks are being torn off. Netanyahu is not (and apparently never was) aiming for a two-state solution; his actions prove it. And the world, including the United States, is losing patience in the face of Israel’s policy of deception and its failure to propose any alternative.”

IT’S ABOUT TIME TO CLAIM BACK ALL OF PALESTINE AND WHY?

<< since when is a two-state solution a given? >>

Yigal Kahana,It seems to me the ONLY solution to the conflict is two states because:The Palestinians know what they are and what is their homeland and don’t need anyone else to tell them. They are a nation (not just part of the Arab nation) and their national homeland is Falasteen. The Jews know what they are and what is their homeland and don’t need anyone else to tell them. They are a nation (not just a religion) and their national homeland is Eretz Yisra’el.Both the Jewish and Palestinian nations have made clear by their actions for more than 100 years that they are prepared to fight and kill if need be to gain independence, freedom from fear of control by the other, and self determination in their national homeland. But, Falasteen and Eretz Yisra’el is the same place. In 1947, when the violent conflict was already over 60 years old, UNSCOP investigated it and concluded that the ONLY way the two nations could peacefully gain the self determination and independence they demanded, was if BOTH agreed to the establishment of a Jewish state and a Palestinian state. That remains the ONLY way today.

But, Falasteen and Eretz Yisra’el is the same place.

OF COURSE IT IS THE SAME, THEREFORE THE RIGHTFUL NAME WILL ALWAYS BE FALASTEEN! THE EVIL ZIONIST JEWS STOLE THE LAND AND BY CHANGING THE NAME THEY THINK THE WORLD IS FULL OF NAIVE FOOLS THAT WILL RECOGNIZE THEM AS THE RIGHTFUL OWNERS! HOW ARROGANT AND STUPID! YOU BLOODTHIRSTY, GREEDY, EVIL ZIONISTS CAN GO TO HELL AND I COULDN’T CARE LESS BECAUSE YOU ARE EVIL TO THE CORE!

Archbishop Bustros then questioned the biblical idea of a “promised land” set aside by a specific group of people.

“We Christians cannot speak of the promised land as an exclusive right for a privileged Jewish people,” Bustros continued at the Vatican. “This promise was nullified by Christ. There is no longer a chosen people – all men and women of all countries have become the chosen people.”

Scripturally, Chosenness was strictly conditional as was the grant of land, upon honouring their Covenant meaning renouncing paganism solely for the Lord God of Abraham [pbuh] and being righteous not wicked.

In fact, by violating both, they broke their Covenant hence were cast out into Diaspora as punishment not to return till they accepted the Messiah [pbuh] on his return and reaffirmed what they had reneged from at his hands as his followers – not a day sooner.

WHEN PALESTINE IS LIBERATED THE NAME MUST BE CHANGED TO FALASTEEN BECAUSE PALESTINE WAS GIVEN THAT NAME BY THE BRITISH. IT’S SIMILAR TO CHINA, WHEN THE BRITISH NAMED THE CITY PEKING, BUT CHINA CHANGED IT BACK TO BEIJING.

Zionism and the Educational Elites – An Analysis (23 September 2014) by Lawrence Davidson

Part I – The Zionists Have a Problem

Due to Israel’s brutal racism and repeated attacks on Palestinian civilians, it is losing popular support internationally. As this happens, the Zionists appear to be intensifying pressure on societal and political elites, particularly in the U.S. and other Western states, to maintain policies that support and protect Israel’s criminal behavior. Their vehicle for achieving this goal has always been financial gifts and donations to elite individuals and institutions. These gifts and donations help grease the wheels, so to speak, of the systems of power through which the elites operate, and create a monetary dependency on, among others, Zionist donors. It also creates an obligation to respond to these donor’s needs. The result is a growing disconnect between evolving popular attitudes toward Israel and the static positions held and actions taken by the elites.

American Zionist leaders are aware of this gap and they take it seriously. However, they have a problem in that open debate and the offering of evidence can no longer win the argument for their side. In short, the Zionists don’t have a monopoly anymore on the story of how Israel came to be and Palestine came not to be. And without that monopoly the imperialist origins and ongoing racist nature of Israel are can no longer be concealed.

Palestinians draft U.N. resolution on ending Israel occupation

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The Palestinians have drafted a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for an end to Israeli occupation by November 2016, which they have shared informally with Arab states and some council members, U.N. diplomats said on Wednesday.

LET US SEE WHAT MAHMOUD ABBAS IS MADE OF BECAUSE THE SCUMBAG NETANYAHU SEES HIM AS A LOSER. AND THAT IS WHY HE CAN BULLY ABBAS WITHOUT GIVING HIM FACE TO HIS PEOPLE OR THE WORLD!

DON’T YOU THINK IT IS TIME FOR ABBAS TO ‘F’ THE SCUMBAG NETANYAHU LEFT, RIGHT AND CENTER FOR FAILING TO HONOR THE OSLO PEACE AGREEMENT SIGNED BY RABIN! HOW NAIVE AND IDEALISTIC THE SCUMBAG IS TO BELIEVE THAT THE ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL STATUS QUO CAN GO ON FOR AN ETERNITY SO THAT THEY CAN EVENTUALLY STEAL ALL THE LAND!

DOESN’T THE SCUMBAG KNOW THAT NOT HONORING RABIN SIGNED AGREEMENT IS THE DEMISE OF ISRAEL??!! IF HE DOESN’T, HE IS ONE STUPID SCUMBAG!

The evil Zionist Jews cannot lie no more because the fact on the ground had shown to the world that they have stolen the land of the Palestinian people and now is pay back time! What was stolen MUST be returned, period!!

IT IS TIME FOR THE WORLD TO MAKE IT RIGHT FOR THE PALESTINIANS BECAUSE WE OWN IT TO THEM TO MAKE IT RIGHT!! THEY HAVE SUFFERED FOR FAR TOO LONG AND HERE IS WHAT 100 MIDEAST SCHOLARS GOT TO SAY

World governments and mainstream media do not hold Israel accountable for its violations of international law. We, however, as a community of scholars engaged with the Middle East, have a moral responsibility to do so,”

[ISRAEL COUNTDOWN!] Let’s share the great news, the latest! Sweden to recognise state of Palestine

Recognising Palestine for what it is

Sweden’s historic role as a mediator in the conflict makes its nod to Palestinian statehood an important move

Recently elected Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven announced his country would be joining the expanding list of more than 120 nations to recognise Palestine as a state. While seven members of the European Union (EU) have already made this move, Sweden is the first western European member to join 70 per cent of the world’s countries in acknowledging Palestinian statehood aspirations.

Sweden has the gravitas of a visible and active player on the world stage and is close to the heart of the EU’s administrative axis. Its historic role as a mediator in the conflict — Stockholm is both sympathetic towards the Palestinians and friendly with Israel — makes this an important move.

New Swedish Government To Recognize State Of Palestine Within 1967 Borders

Sweden’s new center-left government will recognize the state of Palestine in a move that will make it the first major European country to take the step, Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said on Friday.

Stefan Lofven

The UN General Assembly approved the de facto recognition of the sovereign state of Palestine in 2012, but the European Union and most EU countries have yet to give official recognition.

“The conflict between Israel and Palestine can only be solved with a two-state solution, negotiated in accordance with international law,” Lofven said during his inaugural address in parliament.

“A two-state solution requires mutual recognition and a will to peaceful coexistence. Sweden will therefore recognize the state of Palestine.”

For the Palestinians, Sweden’s move will be a welcome boost for its ambitions.

Iran’s Khamenei vows ‘Zionist regime and its supporters will go extinct’

On the eve of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, the Iranian leader urged the Islamic world to unite in waging war against the “the enemies of Islam, chief among them Israel.”

Ali Khamenei

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, vowed on Friday that “the Zionist regime and its supporters will one day go into extinction.”

On the eve of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, the Iranian leader urged the Islamic world to unite in waging war against the “the enemies of Islam, chief among them Israel.”

“The Muslim nations must take up positions along the arrogant Zionist front which wants to drive a wedge between Muslims,” Khamenei told his deputies. “The scheming enemy wants to fan the flames of war between Muslims. I urge all of you to put Muslim unity at the top of your priorities.”

The leader of the Islamic Republic claimed that Islamic State and al-Qaida are “creations of the West, particularly the Americans and their allies in the region, despite their denials.”

Khamenei also made remarks about Operation Protective Edge, which he referred to as “a miracle.”

“The resistance succeeded to bringing the Zionist entity to submission in a war that revealed to us that the Zionist enemy, which symbolizes the criminality of the West, has no limits when it comes to cruelty while they trample all norms of humanity and ethics,” he said.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gantz: Did we win the war? Yes!

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gantz speaks to ‘Maariv Sof Shavua’ and explains how he thinks Israel and the IDF won Operation Protective Edge.

Benny Gantz

YES, LT.-GEN. GANTZ YOU HAVE WON A WAR, BUT YOU HAVE LOST ISRAEL! OPERATION PROTECTIVE EDGE HAS SEALED ISRAEL’S FATE!! BUT THEN ISRAEL IS ILLEGITIMATE AND SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE RIGHTFUL OWNER, RIGHT?

University of Victoria professor John Dolan, writing under the pseudonym of “war nerd” Gary Brecher, recently republished views from a few years ago that are even more true today:

“Israel may win this battle, but it’s lost the war already…(In 2009) they killed 1400 Palestinians, and it didn’t do much but make everybody sick to their stomachs…In a situation like this, the real winner is likely to be the Gazans…Israel had lots of chances to deal with (the Palestinians) but they had a mandate—nothing worse than a mandate—and didn’t need to make a deal with anybody. Now it’s too late. There isn’t always a good solution at this point in the game. Maybe ten moves back you could’ve won, but not now.”

Most other strategists agree, though not all have the courage to say so in public. Former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brezekinski says Netanyahu “is making a very serious mistake…he is isolating Israel. He’s endangering its longer-range future.”

What longer-range future? asks another legendary National Security Advisor, Henry Kissinger. In a 2012 interview with the New York Post, Kissinger made the following blanket statement: “In 10 years, there will be no more Israel.”

PLO: Netanyahu’s UN Speech A “Blatant Manipulation Of Facts”

“Obviously Netanyahu has lost touch with reality, particularly in refusing to acknowledge the fact of the occupation itself or the actions of the Israeli army of occupation in committing massacres and war crimes,” she added.

Benjamin Netanyahu

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blatantly manipulated the facts when he compared Hamas with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group in a UN speech on Monday.

“Netanyahu’s speech at the UN was a blatant manipulation of facts and attempted at misleading the audience through a combination of hate language, slander and argument of obfuscation,” PLO executive member Hanan Ashrawi said in a statement.

“Obviously Netanyahu has lost touch with reality, particularly in refusing to acknowledge the fact of the occupation itself or the actions of the Israeli army of occupation in committing massacres and war crimes,” she added.

Encountering Peace: The charade is almost over

Netanyahu has failed his state and his people. He has failed history. He had a chance, he could have done it. He decided to play petty politics.

ShowImage.ashxNetanyahu and Kerry, March 31, 2014.. (photo credit:DAVID AZAGURY, US EMBASSY TEL AVIV)

I really had hopes for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Over the past two years I have been praising him as the best possible Israeli leader to negotiate peace with the Palestinians. Sometimes I even felt as if I was his best spokesperson. It’s the Nixon-China thing. In Israel you need the “Left” to make war and you need the “Right” to make peace. Only the Likud can do it – as their slogan used to be. With Netanyahu behind a peace deal with the Palestinians he would bring at least 70 percent of the Israeli public with him.

That’s what we need because the decisions that will have to be made in order to reach peace are very difficult and they could create serious divisions among Jewish Israelis. That’s why we need the leader of the right wing in Israel to be the one to make the deal.

In my lectures in Israel and around the world I would even tell about the letter that I wrote to Netanyahu after the successful negotiations to bring Gilad Schalit home.

In my book about the secret negotiations for the release of Schalit (The Negotiator) I wrote: “Prime Minister Netanyahu deserves praise for his decision to bring Schalit home. He weighed his principles of not negotiating with terrorists or freeing prisoners in a deal like this on one side of the scale and on the other placed the significance of a single soldier.

“Netanyahu had written the book on terror and had lectured around the world to leaders and to civilians that states should not bow down to terrorism. But there was another conflicting value on the other side of the scale: the unwritten Israeli covenant between the State of Israel and its people is that nobody is left behind. He decided against his personal principles to bring Gilad home. In this single decision he earned the title ‘leader.’” My biggest hope over the past two years has been that Netanyahu would prove once again that he is a leader. I had hoped that he would see beyond his positions that he has so well verbalized over years in favor of the bigger picture, the historic opportunity, the chance to fulfill a vision of Israel living in peace with its neighbors and using the enormous creative energies in this country to advance the State of Israel beyond imagination.

It seems I was wrong to place so much hope in Netanyahu.

People who know him well told me he would not do it. They said Netanyahu does not know how to make hard decisions. He is not capable of separating narrow coalition politics from the tasks of a statesman. Some said that he could change after the passing of his father and that he could finally look forward into the future without being constantly held back by history and by his father the historian. But this has apparently not happened.

Yes, he made the famous Bar-Ilan speech and called for a two-state solution. His father did comment the following day on IDF radio that he didn’t mean it. But let’s assume that he did, that he really was sincere in coming to the realization that for Israel’s sake there needs to be a Palestinian state next to Israel. I want to believe that he meant it. I do believe that he meant it. But now I also believe that Netanyahu has ultimately proved that he is not a leader. He is not capable of making a leadership decision. Instead, he will place the blame on the Palestinians.

He is very good at that. But the Palestinians have not earned all the blame.

Honestly, Netanyahu does not deserve all of the blame either. But that is almost irrelevant. I am mainly concerned with the future of Israel and Netanyahu is the decision maker for Israel. He is the prime minister. He is the man who was elected to lead and he is the person who history will judge very harshly for failing to lead Israel to peace.

Netanyahu has not even once presented an Israeli peace initiative. Netanyahu has not made one single offer to the Palestinians. He has told them over and over what he is against. Where is his map – not of the State of Palestine, where is Netanyahu’s map of the State of Israel? Where is his proposal on any single issue? What is his vision? What is his plan? These are questions the Israeli public must ask him. No one knows. Not one of his ministers.

No one in his party knows what he wants. Not a single one of his advisors can tell us how Netanyahu sees a possible resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

If he believes there is no solution then why hasn’t he simply come out and said it? Why does he continue to hoax the world into believing that he is sincerely interested in negotiations? Negotiating what? What does he want the end result of negotiations to be? Any intelligent person, certainly any Israeli prime minister entering negotiations with the Palestinians, must have a pretty good idea of what would be acceptable to the other side.

If he doesn’t know that then we should all be very concerned about the intelligence and assessment experts that surround him. If he does know this and still comes to the conclusions that he could never offer them the minimum of what they demand, then why doesn’t he simply come out and say it? The occupation has been going on for almost 46 years.

It is not a temporary situation. This is as close to a permanent situation as one can imagine. Is it tolerable? Can it continue forever? I am not talking about what the Palestinians might do. Is this situation acceptable for us, for Israel? For Jews? Can we continue to rule over another people, forever denying them the same political rights that we demanded for ourselves? A majority of countries in the world today have already recognized the State of Palestine. It has not changed reality on the ground, but when the world understands that the so-called Israeli-Palestinian peace process is a total charade, will they continue to accept that a member state of the United Nations is occupying another state? This is not a territorial dispute over a border issue. It is one state totally occupying another state. Surely this will not be acceptable forever.

Netanyahu has apparently failed. He has failed his state and his people. He has failed history. He had a chance, he could have done it. He decided to play petty politics. If he does not suddenly rise to the occasion, his government will soon fall, maybe not immediately, but it will fall and he will be remembered for his failures. If he does rise to the occasion, he will not only promise himself a place in history as one of Israel’s greatest leaders, he will also guarantee himself years more in the position of Israel’s prime minister. And most importantly, he will save Israel from the darkness that he has led us into until now.
