In the late 90’s after my father had read my book ASEAN future is our future he asked me who gave me the idea of a Greater ASIA? THE GREEDY WEST DID!!! I never forget what my mother said when Henry Kissinger went to China. She said, “The West thinks China is backward but they might be for now. The Chinese has a long history and deep culture they will one day catch up with the West and when the day they catch up will be the day the West will bomb China.”
As we observe now this really happening but instead of bombing China directly they will bomb Iran to stop the rise of Asia! As a young child I had watched my uneducated mother and to tell you the truth her view of the world was really amazing. She often said when we were young that the sleeping giants Indonesia and China will rise up one day.
I told my father Greater Asia make up of China, Russia including the old USSR, Japan, India, Middle East, Africa and ASEAN. I told him if the West lose its moral compass we in the East got to wake up and start doing what is right for the future generations!

Thank you for contacting me regarding U.S. foreign policy toward Iran. I appreciate your taking the time to share your concerns with me and I welcome this opportunity to respond.
As you know, the radical leaders who control Iran, such as President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have embarked on a dangerous course-defying the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Security Council by pursuing a nuclear program. Beyond its apparent ambition to acquire nuclear weapons, the Iranian government is already a profoundly destabilizing influence in the region as the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism.
Standing idle and permitting Tehran to satisfy its nuclear ambitions would pose a grave threat to American interests in the Middle East and South Asia. The Iranian regime’s support for terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan has killed U.S. and allied troops. The regime has also labored to undermine the vulnerable democracies of Lebanon and Iraq and has supported terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas. It has promoted violence and instability among Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, has subverted peace efforts between the Israeli and the Palestinian people, and has threatened to wipe one of our closest allies, Israel, off the map. Moreover, the Iranian regime continues to ruthlessly and fatally suppress its own citizens who peacefully demonstrate for democratic reform.
I have spoken out against the Iranian regime several times on the Senate floor and believe that as the Iranian regime continues to provoke the U.S. and our allies, to contribute to instability in the Middle East, and to defy the international community in its pursuit of nuclear capabilities, its is important to apply political and economic pressure to reinforce diplomatic efforts in order to effect positive change in that country. For this reason, I, along with 77 of my Senate colleagues, was proud to co-sponsor the Iran Refined Petroleum Sanctions Act of 2009 (S.2799), which passed the Senate on January 28, 2010. This Act is intended to direct sanctions at one of Iran’s biggest vulnerabilities: its low-level refining capacity.
As you may know, I am also a cosponsor of the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Sanctions Consolidation Act of 2011 (S.1048). This bill, introduced by Senators Kyl and Menendez, seeks to tighten the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions and Divestment Act (CISADA)/Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) by strengthening the definition of sanctionable goods, technology transactions, and “credible information” needed by the State Department to begin sanctions investigations. This legislation is currently under review in the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
You may also be interested to know that in November 2011, I introduced an amendment sponsored by Senator Mark Kirk to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 that sought to sanction Iran’s Central Bank. This amendment was later merged with similar legislation introduced by Senator Menendez that passed the Senate and was signed into law on December 31, 2011. This legislation authorizes the U.S. to sanction foreign financial that do business with Iran’s Central Bank.
In a March 2012 speech at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference, I stated that if U.S. intelligence agencies notified Congress that Iran had made a decision to develop nuclear weapons or begun to enrich uranium to weapons-grade levels, I would work with the administration to introduce authorization in Congress to use military force against the Iranian regime.
I will continue to closely monitor this situation and will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should Iran, North Korea, and Syria Sanctions Consolidations Act of 22011, or further sanctions targeting the government of Iran, or other nations that assist Iran in developing its nuclear capabilities, come before the full Senate in the 112th Congress.
